Our Storie
Welcome to Ellie and Shell, a brand run by a mother-daughter duo based in rural Iowa. Learn more about our Founders and our story here.

Meet Our Founders
Charlotte (left) and Toni (right) are the mother-daughter duo behind Ellie and Shell!
Charlotte (trying not to commit tax fraud, Oz herself, coffee fien, Gen Z social media hater but here I am doing it anyway, CEO, CFO, CMO Crying-in-the-ClubO,) is a senior at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where she's studying marketing and business management. Growing up, she worked for several small businesses, which helped her develop a spirit for entrepreneurship and philanthropy.
"I knew I wanted to take everything I've learned in school and create a brand of my own. One that focuses on bringing people together and celebrating their unique talents and interests."
Toni (quilting prodigy, patchwork extraordinaire, not tech-savy boomer, voluntold for this position- shipping and manufacturing chief) has been quilting in her free time for decades, and wanted to bring some of her ideas to life. As our Chief of Manufacturing, she doesn't just make our products by hand, she sources our fabric and designs our patchwork, piecing together colors and patterns to perfection.
We also couldn't do this without the help of our local partner, Lorrie Stringham, owner of Gap Creek Quilting Mercantile in Guthrie Center, Iowa.
